Dr. Gal Dubnov-Raz, MD MSc
Dr Dubnov-Raz is a pediatrician, a sports and exercise medicine specialist and an MSc in clinical nutrition. He is the director of the Exercise, Nutrition and Lifestyle Clinic at The Edmond and Lily Safra Children’s Hospital, and of the Sports and Exercise Medicine Service, Sheba Medical Center, Israel. His main clinical activities include pre-participation examinations of athletes and administering exercise prescriptions to persons with various chronic health conditions.
He is the chief editor of the Israeli Medical Association Guidelines on Pediatric Obesity, and a co-author on the Israeli Medical Association Guidelines on Preventive Medicine. He is a member of two Israeli MOH Councils: Pediatrics and Health Promotion. He is also a member of the Israeli Advisory Committee on the Sports Law to the MOH, and is a member of the Israeli Exercise is Medicine initiative.
He is a senior lecturer at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, where he teaches sports and exercise medicine to under- and post- graduate students. His research focuses on various aspects of sports and exercise medicine, as well as on pediatric obesity and nutrition. He is an author on >100 original articles, reviews and book chapters.
