Prof. Michael Eldar Born in Israel in 1948. After receiving his Cardiology Diploma he became a Fellow in Electrophysiology at the University of California, San Francisco (1984 & 1985), a Fellow in Invasive Cardiology at the Maimonides Medical Center, New York (1990 & 1991), and a Cardiology Visiting Fellow at the University of California, San Francisco (1991 & 1992). Between 1994 and 2001 he was the Director of the Neufeld Cardiac Research Institute, Tel Aviv University, and was Director of the Heart Institute of the Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer between 2001-2016 and Director of the Leviev Heart Center from 2007-2016. In 2000 was appointed Full Professor of Cardiology, Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, and in September 2006 was appointed Head of the Department of Cardiology of the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University.
In 2017 he served as a visiting professor in the University of Padova, Italy
Prof. Michael Eldar has been the recipient of numerous academic and professional awards and is a member of several professional societies. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society.
Prof. Eldar has published well over 200 peer reviewed articles, as well as chapters in books,
and has well over 30 years of experience in cardiovascular research
